A Blue Wedding Dress Is Traditional For Russian Brides

Friday, July 4, 2014

A Blue  wedding dress is a traditional color to don if you are in Russia. This goes back many generations.

Ancient Hebrew brides also used to incorporate Blue  into their wedding gowns as trim color, usually on a white wedding gown.

In early 19th century Europe, ladies simply wore their "very best"attire to wed in; commoner's often wore something Blue . Royalty married in silver ornate wedding gowns. Nowadays the possibilities for Blue  gowns are absolutely endless.

Whether you desire a rich royal Blue  or a soft pastel baby Blue , these colors are available in many styles and price points. Even if your just looking for this hue of the color range as trim on your dress most designers now offer color.

Blue  velvet works very well to create a more medievil style wedding gown. It would look fantastic done in a very deep royal Blue  with a head-piece done in a ring of flowers: perfect for a wedding in a meadow!

Green is also becoming a very fast popular color for outdoor weddings. Some men are particularly attracted to women in certain shades of Blue ...no wonder it makes such a popular color for bridal gowns now.

Just think of Cinderella and her beautiful Blue  ball gown, she snagged her Prince Charming with relative ease once she ditched the rags for that Blue  dress! :-)

Traditionally it was a Blue  wedding dress that denoted purity, not a white wedding dress as widely thought. It wasn't till Queen Victoria wed Prince Albert in 1840 that white became to symbolize the purity of a bride. The beginning of the Victorian Era etched this new tradition of white dress purity and this fairly new tradition continues today.

Pastel shades of Blue  work fantastically with any style of dress. I personally love a pastel Blue  wedding gown with a very fitted bodice and a full organza skirt with layers and layers of this material in a ballroom style gown.

It is the perfect color to choose for all the seasons: pastel would work for springtime. Bolder shades or aqua is perfect for summer.

Richer and deeper shades work equally well for both autumn and winter, I also think an icy shade of Blue  for a wintertime bride would be beautiful.

Icy Blue  snowflakes as decorations would make perfect table decorations. Maybe serve some kind of a Blue  cocktail as your drink of the evening, accompanied by a completely Blue  candy bar!

Carry on your wedding dress color into the theme of your wedding decorations in a contrasting Blue  or similar hue.

If your going for a completely Blue  gown as your dress, maybe dress your bridesmaids in a contrasting shade or all white with Blue  trim and flower bouquets to hold.

Very much so a fairy-tale princess wedding gown. This style works very well with a crown-like tiara with a long flowing veil also in pastel Blue  to complete the look.

Sky's the limit for a theme like this. Real silver wedding chalices are a must at the head table to drink your celebratory beverage of choice from. They will go perfect with your Blue  wedding dress.

There's always the traditional Blue  wedding garter belt if you prefer to wear a traditional white wedding gown but still want your "something Blue ."

Blue  can be a gorgeous soft color to work into your wedding theme.

Wedding favors, invitations, your bridesmaid's dresses, flowers, table cloths ect...It goes very well with Royal Silver. A Blue  wedding dress can be very elegant indeed!
